The fun doesn't stop after the hike! While mom and dad enjoy the community BBQ, kids get to have a blast at our carnival - including face painting, fun carnival games and activities!

Kiwanis Downtown and Suburban will be providing our Community BBQ! Get ready for a delicious lunch! Climbers and their families eat for free. The BBQ is open to the public for free.

Beginner Option
Meadowlands
Our community climb is designed for the entire family. From Skofield park ascend rattlesnake Canyon Trail to an open meadow offering great mountain views. Choose your own level of difficulty - you can turn around at any time and still enjoy your walk by the beautiful creek. The young and young at heart will enjoy this picturesque walk.

>>Begins at 11am
Registration begins at 10:30 am
Entire route is approximately 2.6 miles, 900 vertical foot climb, and is considered relatively easy.

>>Climbs begin and end at Skofield Park.

>>Shuttle service & registration begins 1/2 hour prior to your climb start time.

 

Intermediate Option
Rattlesnake Canyon
From Skofield Park you ascend Rattlesnake Canyon Trail to Gibraltor Road. This hike offers awe-inspiring views of boulders, swimming holder and open meadows. This climb is steep, but you can turn back at any time. Are you up for a challenge? Note: This climb is much easier than last year's trail.

>>Begins at 9 am
Registration begins at 8:30 am
Entire route is approximately 3.9 miles, 1600 vertical foot climb, and is less strenuous than last year's climb.

Difficult Option
La Cumbre Peak
Ascend Rattlesnake trail to Gibraltor Road and continue up the mountain to E. Camino Cielo Road, then head west to La Cumbre Peak. Those that
choose this option will be rewarded with a tough challenge but also with excellent views of Santa Barbara and the Santa Ynez Valley.

>>Begins at 7am
Registration begins at 6:30 am
Entire route is approximately 10.6 miles, 3000 vertical foot climb, and is very strenuous.
