Daniel Bryant Youth & Family Treatment Center
The Daniel Bryant Youth & Family Treatment Center is a program of the Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse, which provides confidential, effective outpatient treatment for young people (12-18) who are faced with alcohol and other drug problems. The center serves clients who are self-referred or referred by parents, schools, counselors or probation. The Daniel Bryant Center has helped over 1300 clients and their families since it’s inception on March 22, 2001.

The Treatment Program:
The Daniel Bryant treatment program is based on the State of California Youth Treatment Guidelines. Treatment is client specific, based on initial assessment and varies from 3-12 months. Services are offered on a sliding scale, no one is ever turned away for financial reasons. Programs are directed toward adolescents and their families.

Treatment includes:

  • Assessment at Program entry
  • Group / Family Counseling (English & Spanish)
  • Drug Testing & Acupuncture
  • Parent Support Groups
  • Aftercare

Daniel Bryant offers:

  • Information about addiction and recovery
  • Relapse prevention skills
  • Life Skills
  • Individual crisis counseling as needed
  • Cannabis Youth Treatment (CYT) - a brief intervention (8 week) for adolescent marijuana users.
  • Juvenile Justice System Programs available as needed

The Daniel Bryant Center Program is a national model for prevention and treatment. The need is great, an estimated one out of four Santa Barbara Junior High and High school students use drugs or alcohol on a daily or weekly basis. Daniel Bryant Center is a place where young people can successfully fight a very personal issue.
